“Atlanta is on God’s mind and heart.” These powerful words resonate as we stand before what was once known as the International House of Prayer Atlanta, now GateCity Church. The House of the Lords Prayer has a rich history. It embodies a continuous dedication to worship and prayer.

In 2004, Billy Humphrey along with other leaders, established the International House of Prayer Atlanta. It quickly became a place of constant worship and prayer. Within two years, it operated 24/7.

Fast forward to 2018. IHOP Atlanta merged with NewBridge Church. This merger formed a new spiritual family. It centered on continuous live worship and prayer.

Then, in 2021, a significant change occurred. IHOP Atlanta and New Bridge Church united under a single name, GateCity Church. This transition marked a new chapter.

Today, GateCity Church continues its mission. It is a diverse spiritual family. It focuses on 24/7 live worship and prayer. GateCity has bases in seven nations. These bases focus on prayer and missions. They aim to spread the Gospel to those who have not heard it.

GateCity Church’s prayer room operates day and night. Inspired by David’s tabernacle, singers and musicians minister to the Lord. They serve the community around the clock. This ensures the fire of worship and prayer never stops.

You are welcome to join the prayer meetings. These meetings take place in the main sanctuary. People engage in personal worship or Bible study. Free Wi-Fi is available. Prayer meetings last for one or two hours. Teams rotate at the top of the hour. A communion station is available for personal reflection.

GateCity Church offers various prayer meeting formats. Intercession involves corporate praise and worship. People pray over specific topics. Worship with the Word invites prayer over Bible passages. Devotional time allows for personal prayer and Bible study. Prophetic worship includes prophetic ministry and healing.

As we stand here at the House of the Lords Prayer, now GateCity Church, we are reminded of its enduring commitment. It is a beacon of prayer. It is a testament to faith. It inspires us to seek God. It encourages us to unite in worship.
