From a humble beginning to a global movement. That’s the story of C3 Church. Today we stand before a place that embodies faith. It embodies community and a spirit of connection.
C3 Church is part of an international family. Over 500 C3 Churches thrive in 64 countries. Its story began in 1980. Phil and Chris Pringle started it all. They held a service at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club. This was in Sydney.
The atmosphere was welcoming. The music was modern. People felt drawn to it. Within four years, the church grew. It reached 400 members. Partnerships developed with local churches. The growing collection became Christian City Church. It is now known as C3.
A vision took shape. The goal was to plant ten churches. This would be in ten cities across the world. By the 1990s, growth exceeded expectations. A bigger vision became necessary. An approach that was always onwards and upwards.
Now, C3 spans the globe. It reaches from Australia to Kazakhstan. It extends from Sweden to Brazil. C3 Church Global is Christ-centred. It is spirit-powered. It is connect-driven. The aim is for people to know Jesus personally. They should have a real-time connection with God.
The members are hospitable. They are generous. They are fun and full of life. C3 commits to healthy churches. These churches grow around the world. Members can walk into any C3 Church. They will feel at home.
C3 Australia also plays a vital role. It is committed to life-giving churches. These churches should be within reach of every Australian. For over 40 years, C3 churches have grown in Australia. There are now almost 100 locations. They are across all states and territories.
As a region within the C3 Global movement. C3 Australia serves its pastors and churches. They minister to local communities. These communities include beachside towns. They include rural centers. They also include remote communities and world-class cities.
Lars and Megan Halvorsen are the Regional Directors. They are also Senior Ministers of C3 Darwin. Their passion is to build local churches. These churches glorify Jesus. Souls are saved there. Disciples are made. The supernatural power of God moves.
Phil Pringle and Chris Pringle are the founders of the C3 Global movement. They came from New Zealand to Sydney in 1980. They set out to start a church. It would be contemporary and relevant. It would be anointed.
Phil is passionate about building faith-filled churches. These churches are motivated to reach the lost. They make disciples. His heart is to see local churches thrive. This is in their community. They function in the power of the Holy Spirit. They feed on the Word of God. Chris brings life, revelation, healing, and joy. People feel inspired. They feel encouraged and changed by her ministry.
C3 Australia works to establish strong relationships. It develops the C3 brand. It trains leaders. The C3 Australia Team supports the region. It helps new churches assimilate. It provides pastoral care. It develops strategies for compliance. C3 Australia reflects the vision of C3 Global. This is to save the lost. It is to make disciples and build the church.
Connection is key. Leaders meet locally and globally. They attend conferences and training. They connect with each other. The priority is to empower Senior Pastors. C3 facilitates a culture of community. Life is better together. The mission is to help people find Jesus. There is a dream of seeing one million people. This will be in C3 congregations every weekend. The C3 of the future will be vibrant and diverse. It will be energetic.
As we stand here, remember the story. It is a story of faith, growth, and connection. C3 Church continues to impact lives around the world. It all began with a simple service. It began with a powerful vision.
