In 1903 a congregation formed alongside the New England Sanitarium. They worshipped at 5 Woodland Road. Decades later in the 1930s a branch Sabbath School took root in Stoneham. This group purchased land at 29 Maple Street building a church. The two congregations eventually reunited in 2003 after the closing of the Boston Regional Medical Center. This marked a significant merging of histories. The Stoneham Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church as it stands today became a unified entity.
