Those were turbulent times in Italy, marked by political violence from both the left and the right. Sergio became a target for his beliefs. He was brutally attacked near his home, beaten with wrenches and iron bars. He died after spending 47 days in a coma. The Sergio Ramelli Plaque is more than just a memorial to a young life lost. It’s a call for peace, a reminder that violence is never the answer. It encourages us to remember Sergio Ramelli, but also to strive for a future where such tragedies are never repeated.
