Remember the tales of Robin Hood? The Nordpark in Berlin brings them to life. This green space in the Rudow area of Neukölln opened in 2000. It provides a lovely escape for locals and visitors alike.
Nordpark is located in southern Rudow. Knollstraße borders it to the northwest. Schönefelder Straße marks the western edge. Waltersdorfer Chaussee runs along the east. Ursulinenstraße defines the southern boundary. The park’s creation coincided with the construction of the Gartenstadt Rudow-Süd. This also included the Frauenviertel and Südpark. Together, they form a transition to Brandenburg’s state border.
The district designed a spacious green area with seating in the Nordpark’s western section. The eastern part features a Robin Hood-themed playground. Nordpark’s playground includes a large wooden castle structure. Kids can enjoy slides and climbing opportunities. A village and a stylized Sherwood Forest complete the theme.
Younger children will love the fairytale figures from Hänsel and Gretel. These are in a dedicated play area in the southern part. A sports field and a playing field mark the eastern end of the Nordpark.
