On a seemingly ordinary day in December 2007, a prayer echoed from Jacksonville, Florida, carrying a vision for a church in Katy, Texas. This prayer would soon give birth to Faith Family Church. Pastor Stanley Scott II, guided by this prayer, embarked on a journey to Katy, a place he barely knew. His connection to the area stemmed from a brief visit years prior, a trip to Katy Mills Mall where he purchased Houston Texans merchandise, admiring their then-new logo. With no family, no friends, and no job waiting for him in Texas, he carried only his faith and the conviction of his prayer. He set the opening date for Faith Family Church while still residing in Jacksonville: September 13, 2009. Faith Family Church began its journey with a small group. Over the years, it grew to nearly 174 members, a testament to the power of faith and perseverance. The church’s motto, “Welcome to Faith Family Church, Welcome Home!”, reflects its commitment to creating a sense of belonging and community. Faith Family Church defines itself as non-denominational, independent, charismatic, and firmly rooted in Bible teachings. It’s a place where the word of faith is preached, and love for God and people intertwines. The church’s mission centers around connection: connecting people to God, their pastors, fellow families, and volunteer teams. Faith Family Church strives to make a tangible difference in the lives of those it touches. Its vision is threefold: to grow, to achieve greatness, and to extend a helping hand to others. The church places a special emphasis on ministering to men, believing that strengthening men strengthens families, which in turn strengthens communities. Recognizing the challenges of fatherlessness and the high divorce rate, Faith Family Church prioritizes ministry to marriages and families. They see strong marriages as the bedrock of strong families, and strong families as the foundation of strong communities.
