Instead, it occupies a building that was once a roofing company. The church acquired and renovated the former Dachdeckerei from 2007 to 2010. The church stands on Zietenstrasse 11. Before this, the congregation met in Kaiser-Wilhelm-Strasse 29. The old location became too small. The final service there was held in August 2010.
The first service in the new sanctuary took place on September 10, 2010. The worship space had been a storage area for the roofing business. An official dedication service was held on October 3.
The Kreuzkirche Lankwitz comprises several interconnected buildings. The section facing the street has two stories. It features a flat roof. Extending into the property is a hall-style church. This section also has a flat roof and a skylight. An elevated gallery is positioned opposite the altar area. Two additional building sections complete the complex. The one at the back has a gabled roof. The one in front has a flat roof.
Inside the Kreuzkirche Lankwitz, you’ll find a special organ. Karl Lötzerich built it in 1975 for the Friedenskirche in Charlottenburg. It has been in the Kreuzkirche since 1981. The previous organ, made by E. F. Walcker & Cie in 1970, was sold to the Friedenskirche in Friedenau in 1981.
