Bu00e4derland Kaifu-Bad boasts a legacy stretching back to 1893-1895. Franz Andreas Meyer the then chief engineer of the building committee designed the original Stadtbad Hohe Weide. Today it’s a sprawling complex combining indoor and outdoor facilities.

Picture this. The grand indoor hall. It measures approximately 120 by 40 meters. Now imagine the scene in 1906. Women in elegant bathing costumes would have enjoyed the newly added hall. This was a revolutionary step offering women a dedicated space. The facility underwent a major transformation in 2015. This renovation resulted in a 21 x 10 meter swimming pool. A sauna area with various steam baths saunas and relaxation rooms was also created. The Kaifu-Sole a 17 x 11 meter saltwater pool stands out. It has a salt content of 6 percent. An outdoor terrace further enhances the experience.

Stepping outside you discover the outdoor area. A heated outdoor pool measuring 25 x 10 meters remains open year-round. But the real spectacle lies in the summer outdoor pool. This area opened in 1938. Konstanty Gutschow designed the masterpiece. It features an 8-lane 50 x 20 meter sports pool. There is also a diving pool with 1 3 5 and 10-meter diving boards. A paddling pool with play equipment adds a touch of family fun. The extensive sunbathing lawn provides ample space to relax.
