Established in 2007 the University of Economics and Finance UEF stands tall. It’s a testament to Vietnam’s commitment to higher education. This impressive university wasn’t always so grand.
UEF’s story began with a simple decree. Decree number 1272QĐ-TTg to be exact. This document signed by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung brought UEF into existence on September 24 2007. Its mission was clear quality efficiency and integration. These words weren’t just empty slogans. They formed the bedrock of UEF’s philosophy.
For eight years UEF thrived. It built a strong reputation for excellent teaching and a modern campus. However in 2014 a surprising turn occurred. UEF was sold to HUTECH a different education company for nearly 200 billion dong. This sale shocked many. It raised questions about the university’s future. Yet despite this upheaval UEF persevered.
Today UEF boasts a large campus. Its main building at 276 Dien Bien Phu Street in Binh Thanh District is a modern marvel. This building alone covers 10000 square meters. Another campus exists at 141 Dien Bien Phu Street. This one is even bigger at 25000 square meters. UEF is not content with its current size. A new campus is under construction in the South Saigon area. This new project will eventually cover 5.5 hectares. The university’s dedication to expansion shows its commitment to growth.
UEF offers a wide range of courses. Business and finance are major focuses but you’ll find programs in law English and even Japanese. The faculty is highly qualified many holding advanced degrees from prestigious international universities. UEF also values international collaboration. Students can participate in exchange programs with universities worldwide. This focus on global perspectives prepares students for today’s interconnected world.
The UEF campus is a vibrant place. It’s not just a place for learning. It’s a community a hub of intellectual energy. Walking through its halls you feel the ambition the drive to succeed. UEF represents so much more than just a university. It represents the future of Vietnam a future built on education. A future where everyone has the chance to reach their full potential. And that is a story worth remembering.
