It was originally called the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Back then its red exterior earned it a nickname. Locals called it “The Big Red Shed”. This iconic Glasgow landmark has since undergone massive transformations. Two major expansions transformed it into Scotland’s largest exhibition centre. The SEC Armadillo a stunning architectural marvel joined the complex in 1997. Then in 2013 the SSE Hydro a state-of-the-art concert arena further expanded its capabilities.
