Years later, on December 27, 2006, Phú Lãm officially became part of the newly established Hà Đông city, a bustling hub within Hanoi. The story continued to unfold. On May 8, 2009, Phú Lãm transitioned from a rural commune to an urban ward within the newly established Hà Đông district of Hanoi. This change brought significant development. It fostered a mix of industrial and commercial activities, shaping the ward’s economic landscape. Phường Phú Lãm covers an area of 2.66 square kilometers.
