Rustling through the leaves, the wind whispers tales of a farm that has stood for centuries. This is Cascina Musella a place where history, architecture, and nature intertwine.
Cascina Musella presents significant architectural features. It maintains a close relationship with the urban Lambro areas. Located opposite Cascina Musellina the buildings once used as stables are still recognizable. You can still see the haylofts, warehouses, farmworkers’ houses, and pertinent farmyards.
The very sad story of the Musella farm is destined to disappear. Together with its fresco and the nearby Musellina farm it is destined to become a pile of rubble.
The Musella Farm offers the opportunity to book a visit to the winery. You can taste its wines for small groups. The winery visit includes an explanation of the winemaking procedures. It is followed by a tasting of our wines accompanied by Monte Veronese cheese of different seasoning with bread and breadsticks and our other products.
The winery has its cellar and offices in a rural court from the 1500s. It is surrounded by green meadows bathed by the Fibbio stream. This stream was formerly used as a stable of the noble palace of the Estate. Today it has been transformed into the precious room for our barrels. The cellar is equipped with all the latest technologies in keeping with tradition. This was achieved after a careful conservation restoration.
Each of our products comes exclusively from this Estate. It covers almost 400 hectares. The estate also offers considerable differentiation in the composition of the soil. This quality allows us exciting comparisons.
With the biodynamic method agriculture is in tune with nature. It is in tune with the land and with humans. Fertilization cultivation and breeding are implemented in ways that respect and promote the fertility and vitality of the soil. They also promote the typical qualities of plant and animal species. The deep connection with nature and the complete respect of its rhythms lead to abolishing the use of synthetic mineral fertilizers and chemical pesticides. The soil is managed following cosmic and lunar cycles.
