For more than a century, Italian Christian Assembly Church has stood as a beacon. It welcomes worshippers in Los Angeles. The church’s story began with a small prayer group of Italians. They gathered during the Azusa Street Revival Movement in the early 1900s.
Since its humble beginnings, Italian Christian Assembly Church has grown. It now welcomes nearly 3,000 worshippers each week. The church is focused on being a welcoming place for everyone. This open-door policy has shaped its identity over the years.
The current Italian Christian Assembly Church building dates back to 1976. By 2010, it needed a major renovation. This included updating the wireless systems and microphones. Dirk Bolle an IT/Tech support specialist oversaw the audio overhaul. He chose the Shure UHF-R Wireless System and KSM8 microphones. These ensured consistent performances from worship leaders and vocalists.
The church sought a reliable wireless system. It needed to eliminate disruptive noises from older equipment. Christian Assembly Church had positive experiences with Shure in the past. So they installed UHF-R. This system is known for mastering high pressure and extreme conditions. It also delivers uncompromised sound.
Previously, Italian Christian Assembly Church used various microphones. These included Shure’s Beta 58A and the SM58. After the 2016 Winter NAMM trade show, the tech team discovered the KSM8 Dualdyne microphone. Impressed with its sound quality, they bought one from CCI Solutions.
The Italian Christian Assembly Church then conducted a blind test. Worship leaders unanimously chose the KSM8. They cited its lack of proximity effect and off-axis rejection. Its output accuracy impressed them. Consequently, the church purchased six more KSM8s.
The UHF-R system solved the church’s audio issues. It provided a reasonably priced and reliable wireless system. It was free from RF dropouts and background noise. The KSM8 microphones improved sound quality. They offered superior sound.
