Slipping down a slightly steep path, our adventure leads us to Mushallah Depag. This humble place of worship, nestled on the edge of Tanjung Uma, offers a unique story. Mushallah Depag wasn’t always the sturdy structure you see before you. In 2004, it began as a simple gathering place, constructed from basic wood and planks. The initial structure, unfortunately, didn’t last. The community, however, remained steadfast in their faith. They rallied together, rebuilding Mushallah Depag into the stronger, more permanent place of worship it is today. During a Subuh Keliling event in December 2024, the community welcomed visitors from the Kantor Kementerian Agama Kota Batam. They shared stories of their struggles and triumphs, highlighting the importance of Mushallah Depag in their lives. The visit underscored the vital role faith plays, balancing the needs of the body and soul. The journey to Mushallah Depag, though physically demanding, is a testament to the dedication of the community. It serves as a reminder that faith can flourish even in the most challenging of circumstances. The story of Mushallah Depag is one of perseverance and community spirit.
