It may seem ordinary at first glance, but this structure holds within its walls a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. Back then, a small band of Seventh-day Adventists established themselves in Geneva, seeking a place to worship and spread their message of hope. In 1894, they formalized their gathering as a church and set up shop on Grand-Mèze Street in the old city’s vibrant heart.

The church’s humble beginnings led to growth and expansion. By 1914, the community had grown considerably, requiring a new, larger space to accommodate their growing membership. They built their first chapel on the Boulevard de la Cluse, a symbolic move that marked their commitment to serving Geneva. Years later, in the 1960s, they rebuilt their chapel, replacing the original with the modern building you see today. Constructed with two concrete cubes, this striking architectural design features large vertical elements and intricate moucharabieh decoration. The main worship hall occupies the ground floor with a gallery overlooking the space. Below, the basement houses rooms designed for youth activities and a spacious hall for communal meals and gatherings.
