Here at the Pinball Hall of Fame you are standing at the gateway to a world where the simple thrill of a silver ball can transport you back to childhood. The Pinball Hall of Fame is more than just a museum. It’s a playable tribute to the captivating history of pinball.

Tim Arnold started collecting pinball machines when he was just 16. Back then pinball was controversial. Some even linked it to gambling. Thankfully the ban was lifted in the 1970s. Tim never stopped collecting.

Tim and his wife Charlotte moved to Las Vegas. They brought almost 1000 pinball machines. Tim stored them on his tennis court. He then moved the games to a warehouse. “Fun Nights” began. The goal? To open the Pinball Hall of Fame. That dream became real in 2006.

The Pinball Hall of Fame isn’t about profit. It is about the love of the games. Tim explains that they maintain the games meticulously even when it does not make economic sense.

Step inside. You will see rows of pinball machines. You can also find vintage arcade games dating back to the 1930s. The dim lighting enhances the glowing pinball machines. The sounds fill the air. You can hear the clinking coins echoes of bells and chimes laughter and maybe a few tears.

Look closely. You might spot JIGSAW. It is an original pinball machine from 1931. Tim and Charlotte own it. It is one of the oldest games here. The goal is simple. Get the ball into each hole to complete the puzzle. Metal pins guide the ball. Hence the name pinball.

The Pinball Hall of Fame is run by Tim Arnold. He is a veteran arcade operator. In the 70s and 80s he struck gold during the Pacman era. Tim and his brother opened Pinball Pete’s in Michigan in 1976. It became a gamer’s paradise. Later Tim moved to Las Vegas and started supporting the Salvation Army.

The Pinball Hall of Fame is a non-profit. It relies on visitors restored pinball machine sales and repair videos. Any extra money goes to the Salvation Army. Even the candy vending stand donates its profits.

Before you leave remember this. The Pinball Hall of Fame is where the golden age of pinball lives on. It’s a place where fun and charity come together one quarter at a time.
