Wallington Presbyterian Church later joined the Presbyterian Church in the USA. Around 1945, Christ Presbyterian Church of Passaic merged with Wallington Presbyterian Church. This strengthened the church’s German heritage. Today, Wallington Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbytery of the Palisades.

Rev Dr Peter H Carey Jr led the Wallington Presbyterian Church for almost 38 years. His ministry focused on helping people in need. He welcomed everyone regardless of their church background. The Ladies’ Guild is essential to Wallington Presbyterian Church. It includes church members and friends. They raise money through yard sales and dinners. These funds help the church in difficult times. The Board of Deacons also plays a crucial role. They are elected members who serve for three years. They support special services and raise funds. The Session and the Board of Deacons support the pastor. They provide physical, spiritual, and financial help. The Session members are ruling elders. They follow the Book of Order to govern the church. Their approval is needed for all church activities.
