The name “Davison Avenue Missionary Baptist Church” echoed through the neighborhood. Later, in April 1973, the church adopted its current name, Davison Missionary Baptist Church, marking a new chapter in its history. Davison Missionary Baptist Church relocated to its present location at 39 East Dakota. This spot, nestled on Detroit’s northeast side, sits just a short distance north of McNichols Road, between John R and Brush Streets.
