That’s when Pastors Oliver and Elizabeth Lora arrived. They found a congregation lacking a clear vision. The church joined the Acts 2 Journey program. This sparked an incredible revitalization. Through the program, the Pentecostal Church of the Eternal Rock clarified its mission and values. The impact was almost immediate. The congregation, once around 150 members, exploded to over 400. This vibrant community encompasses 14 nationalities. They’ve created a true melting pot of faith and cultures. Pastor Oliver, a lawyer by training, and Elizabeth, a teacher, have led this remarkable growth. Their leadership during the COVID-19 crisis further solidified the church’s role in the community. The church’s “Ministry of Angels” provided essential support to families in need. This earned them recognition from the Detroit City Council.
