Journey with me to Chengdu’s east, to Tazishan Park. Here stands a testament to time and leisure. For Chengdu natives, Tazishan Park is a place of childhood memories. These memories are of wild gardens and vibrant lantern festivals.
Tazishan Park offers more today. Discover grass areas, football fields, and tea houses. More memories are waiting to be made. Entry to the park is free. There may be charges for additional attractions.
The Jiutian Tower calls to us. This “Nine Heaven Tower” resides in Tazishan Park’s east section. You cannot miss it when arriving by car from the east. It stands along a major road from Chongqing.
The Jiutian Tower is a traditional Chinese pagoda. It reaches 70 meters high with 13 layers. The tower is illuminated only for special occasions. These include national holidays. Even unlit, the silhouette against skyscrapers is interesting.
Tazishan Park is easily accessible. Take line 2 south. Exit at D. You’ll find yourself at Tazishan Park Station.
Consider spending two to three hours here. The park’s address is No. 222 Yinghui Road, Jinjiang District. That is Tazishan Park. It is a blend of history and modern recreation. It offers a unique experience in Chengdu.
