The rhythmic clang of construction echoed through the air. This wasn’t just any building site. This was the birth of SMK Seri Tasik.

SMK Seri Tasik stands proudly in Jalan 6/106 Bandar Sri Permaisuri Cheras. It’s more than just a school. It’s a testament to transformation. The land itself whispers a story. Before the school stood imposing four-story buildings it was an abandoned mining site.

Imagine the transformation. The dust and rubble gave way to ambitious plans. In January 2000 the earth moved. The project to level the uneven terrain began. By the end of January 2001 construction started. Nearly a year and nine months later SMK Seri Tasik was complete. September 29 2001 marked a momentous occasion. The building’s completion was a symbol of hope. It signified progress for the community.

The handover to the Ministry of Education happened on November 12 2002. Then on January 6 2003 SMK Seri Tasik officially opened its doors. A name change marked this new beginning. It was previously known as Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dwi Tasik. The current name was adopted to reflect its location and prestige.

The school boasts a 7.2-acre campus. Four impressive four-story buildings house the students. It’s a far cry from the derelict mine that once stood here. That’s SMK Seri Tasik’s legacy. Its story is one of renewal and progress. It is a place of learning and growth for generations to come. Its walls resonate with the echoes of laughter learning and countless aspirations. SMK Seri Tasik is more than bricks and mortar. It is a vibrant community a beacon of hope. It stands as a symbol of transformation. A school built on the foundation of a past transformed into a future of promise.
