Back in 1766, long before this church graced Woodford Walk, Teresa, a woman of humble means, dared to dream of a brighter future for Dublin’s underprivileged girls. She established a small Catholic school in Mary’s Lane, determined to ignite a thirst for knowledge in their young hearts.

But Teresa’s vision extended far beyond her lifetime. She yearned for her work to continue, to blossom and grow. To secure the future of her school, she purchased a plot of land right here, envisioning a haven for education to flourish. Her dream was realized in 1794, not by Teresa herself, but by the dedicated Presentation Sisters. They answered the call to continue her noble mission, establishing the very Church of the Presentation we stand before today.
