Today, the bustling Tuanyida Square station of the Guangzhou Metro Line 6 stands as a testament to the city’s ever-evolving spirit. Tuanyida Square station opened on December 28, 2013. It sits at the intersection of Dongyuan Cross Road and South Yuexiu Road, also accessible from Yicui Road. Deep beneath the vibrant surface of Tuanyida Square, the station layout is a marvel of modern engineering. The station has four levels. The top level, L1, houses the concourse with its lobby, customer service, vending machines, and ATMs. L2 is dedicated to station equipment. L3 acts as a buffer between the bustling lobby and the platforms below, housing additional equipment. Finally, L4 reveals the platforms themselves. Platform 2 serves Line 6 trains heading towards Xunfenggang, stopping next at Beijing Lu. Platform 1 accommodates trains going towards Xiangxue, with Donghu as the next stop. The platforms share an island design, with doors opening on the left for arriving passengers. Exits A and B conveniently lead to Yuexiu Nanlu and Yicui Lu respectively, seamlessly connecting the station to the vibrant pulse of Tuanyida Square. Tuanyida Square station is more than just a transit hub. It represents the convergence of history and progress, a place where whispers of the past mingle with the rumble of modern trains.
