“The Vietnam People’s Police University – VPPU, you say?”. “Quite a mouthful, isn’t it?”. Here at the Đại học Cảnh sát Nhân dân TP.HCM, more easily referred to as the Vietnam People’s Police University or VPPU, we stand at a pillar of Vietnamese law enforcement training. Founded on April 24, 1976, this university has a rich history intertwined with the evolution of Vietnam’s police force. Initially established as Trường Hạ sĩ quan Cảnh sát nhân dân II, it later became Trường Trung học Cảnh sát nhân dân II and then Trường Cao đẳng Cảnh sát nhân dân II, reflecting its growing stature and scope. The VPPU stands as a testament to the dedication and evolution of Vietnam’s commitment to law and order.
