Established in 1984 the Church of Our Faith Missionary Baptist Church began its journey in the basement of Pastor and Sister Robinson’s home. This humble beginning at 20275 Forrer Street Detroit Michigan marked the start of a remarkable story. The Church of Our Faith Missionary Baptist Church wasn’t just a place of worship it was a family. Sister Robinson and their children along with four of Pastor Robinson’s sisters and their children formed the initial congregation.
The Church of Our Faith Missionary Baptist Church quickly outgrew its modest beginnings. In 1985 the church was formally organized. Reverend Frank Robinson Jr was elected pastor. A storefront at 13019 Puritan Avenue became their first official building. It was a significant step for the growing church. Their faith and dedication were evident. Their commitment to serving their community was undeniable.
The Church of Our Faith Missionary Baptist Church continued to flourish. By 1994 God blessed them with their current location. This is 4438 Rosa Parks Boulevard Detroit Michigan. Pastor Robinson’s dedication is truly inspiring. He served as the church’s first and only pastor. He preached his trial sermon in December 1979. His ordination followed in January 1983. His commitment extends beyond his church. He’s involved in numerous community organizations. He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. He graduated from Southern Baptist Seminary. He’s a certified dean from DCEAC. He founded Immanuel Bible Institute Christian Leadership School. The Church of Our Faith Missionary Baptist Church thrives under his spiritual guidance.
