Founded in 1998 the Church of the Open Bible stands as a testament to faith. It’s a cornerstone in the East Flatbush Brooklyn community. Reverend John I Fleming the founder dedicated his life to the Lord in 1969. This pivotal moment shaped his ministry. He became a vessel for the Lord. He served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He was an assistant and trusted leader. He worked under the leadership of the Late Pastor Cox and Dr Bishop Sheafe.

The Church of the Open Bible is more than just a building. It is a spiritual and physical haven. Pastor Fleming designed and constructed the church building himself. He is truly a kingdom builder. The church provides spiritual guidance. It also offers physical help with daily needs. This vision birthed a worldwide ministry. It’s called People Helping People. This ministry extends the Open Bible’s reach across the globe.

Pastor Fleming’s wife First Lady Pastor Dr Fleming has walked beside him. They have served the Lord for over 50 years. They have four children and many grandchildren. He has helped many achieve their dreams. He has bridged gaps opening doors for people in need in New York City and abroad.
