Did you know that before The Woodlands High School opened its doors, McCullough High School served this community? When The Woodlands High School began, McCullough transitioned into a Junior High.
The Woodlands High School has a rich history of academic and athletic achievements. It has consistently received exemplary ratings from the Texas Education Agency. In 1998, it even earned the prestigious Blue Ribbon School designation from the U.S. Department of Education. The school boasts an impressive Advanced Placement program, offering a wide array of rigorous courses to challenge its students. And let’s not forget the Highlanders. They’ve brought home numerous state championships in sports like baseball, cross country, golf, soccer, and swimming.
In 2006, the baseball team etched their names in history by winning the Texas UIL 5A State Championship and being named National Champions by Baseball America.
