Amidst the vibrant art scene of Denver, the Art Gym stands as a testament to artistic collaboration and innovation. Art Gym isn’t your typical gym. It’s a unique space where artists of all disciplines converge to create, connect, and thrive. Founded by artist Vickie Stevinson, Art Gym was born from a desire to foster a supportive community and provide access to essential resources. Stevinson, a graduate of CSU with a BFA and experience in printmaking and metalsmithing, recognized the challenges artists face in finding affordable studio space and equipment. Her vision materialized into Art Gym, a shared workspace that breaks down financial barriers and cultivates a dynamic environment. Instead of individual studios, artists at Art Gym enjoy a collaborative atmosphere where inspiration flows freely. Members pay a monthly fee for access to shared workspaces, specialized equipment, and a vibrant community of fellow artists. From 2D arts and printmaking to metalsmithing, lapidary, and mixed media, Art Gym embraces a diverse range of artistic practices. The gallery at Art Gym is a vital component of its mission, showcasing thought-provoking and experimental work by regional artists. Exhibitions rotate monthly, with opening receptions held on the third Thursday of each month. Art Gym Denver is more than just a workspace.
