Glasgow Academicals first used these playing fields in 1883. In 1919 Glasgow High School FP bought the land. Today Old Anniesland is home to Glasgow Hawks a semi-professional team. Glasgow High Kelvinside also plays here. The ground hosts about 3500 spectators. It’s used for more than just rugby. Shinty matches including the Glasgow Celtic Society Cup final are held there too.
