Founded in 1994 as Refuge Deliverance House of Prayer the Abundant Harvest House of Prayer initially held services in the founders’ living room. Can you imagine? This humble beginning transformed. In 1996 the church moved to 1715 Snyder Avenue. A significant step. Then in 1999 it adopted its current name Abundant Harvest House of Prayer. Growth continued. On November 22 2002 Abundant Harvest relocated to its present location at 630 McKean Street. The church flourished under the leadership of Apostle Lawrence Smith and First Lady Alice Smith. Their legacy remains strong. They nurtured countless souls. Their daughter Evangelist Beth Allen now leads Abundant Harvest House of Prayer. She became pastor in March 2015 after the passing of her parents. Her husband Elder Floyd Allen serves as co-pastor. He brings significant business experience to the church. Elder Allen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wilkes University and a Master of Business Administration from Keller University. The Abundant Harvest House of Prayer continues its mission to teach salvation through Jesus Christ. It promotes holy living and spiritual growth. The church’s motto is I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. This powerful message resonates with the congregation. They are active in the community. They offer services including a food pantry. The Abundant Harvest House of Prayer actively engages with its community. It is more than just a place of worship. It’s a testament to faith perseverance and community engagement. A true Philadelphia landmark.
