The history of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. is rooted in faith and a global vision. The Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional started in Puerto Rico around 1916. Missionaries arrived from Hawaii via California. They brought the good news. By November 1921 the first assembly occurred in Arecibo. They sought legal protection. Registration with Puerto Rico’s Secretary of State happened on February 13 1922.
Today the church is an international movement. It has works in the Caribbean and Central and South America. You will find it in Mexico the United States Europe Australia Africa and Asia.
In 1971 Minita Casillas arrived in Peru from Puerto Rico. She developed Bible schools for children. José S. Rubianes López organized the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Movimiento Internacional del Perú. This happened under Peruvian law. The assembly of constitution was on February 11 1973. It was registered publicly on April 13 1973.
