Originally part of the ancient deme of Phlya, the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi has been inhabited since 508 B.C. We stand in a place rich in history and culture.

Agia Paraskevi is more than just a suburb. It is a municipality in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration. The municipality is named after the town’s main church, dedicated to Saint Paraskevi of Rome.

In 1993, the construction of the A62 Hymettus Ring Road faced opposition. Locals protested the felling of trees and increased noise pollution. Despite their efforts, the highways were completed in 2001.
