Whispers of faith echo through the years. This is Central Bible Church. Right here in Seoul South Korea stands a testament to enduring belief.

Central Bible Church didn’t start in a grand building. It began humbly in 1980 as a house church. Missionaries Gerald and Miriam Johnson Ken and Rhonda Johnson and Doug and Barbara Threlfall met each Sunday. They were teachers at Bob Jones Seminary. They preached at various church plants. Their families joined together for fellowship.

Soon another missionary family joined. An American woman teaching at a nearby US Army post school also attended. By 1983 their living rooms proved too small. They moved to Bob Jones Seminary facilities in Yeoksam Dong. They officially named themselves Seoul Bible Church.

Their English service spread. US Army personnel Koreans and other English-speaking foreigners came. It wasn’t until 1994 they officially organized. They created a constitution and doctrinal statement. The church continued to grow. Seoul Christian School started in 1997. Its American staff became part of the Central Bible Church family. Central Bible Church now shares a location with Bob Jones Seminary and Seoul Christian School in Euncheon Dong Gwanak Gu.

Central Bible Church’s journey is one of growth. It’s a story of God’s provision and guidance. The church aims to be a beacon of hope and support. A place of comfort for believers. A place for outreach to those seeking faith. The church’s dedication to the word of God and community is palpable. The quiet strength of this church is inspiring.
