The Cemetery of Deng Yinnan is located on Xianlie South Road. It sits in the Yuexiu District. It is next to the Xingzhonghui Cemetery. This location marks a site of profound historical importance.
Deng Yinnan was a general. His cemetery is a Guangzhou City Cultural Relic Protection Unit. It earned this designation in August 1983.
The Xingzhonghui Cemetery is nearby. It covers about 3,200 square meters. The cemetery is the burial site for members of the Xingzhonghui. This society was founded by people like Zhong Rongguang and Chen Shaobai. Sun Zhongshan ordered its establishment in Guangzhou in 1923.
When you enter the Xingzhonghui Cemetery, look for Deng Yinnan’s memorial. The entrance is in front of it. The tomb faces north. It is a concrete structure. A stone tablet sits on top. It reads “Tomb of General Deng Yinnan”. A memorial tower stands to the north. It is about nine meters tall. The tower is made of stone. It has a square pillar shape. The top has a unique design.
The Cemetery of Deng Yinnan and Xingzhonghui Cemetery underwent renovations. This happened in 2011. It was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xin亥 Revolution. The Guangzhou City Government oversaw the restoration.
Many notable figures rest here. This includes Pan Jia and Feng Bi. Also buried here are Feng Jiting and Huang Birong. You will also find Huang Longsheng and his wife. Other members include Huang Guiyue and Song Shaodong. The cemetery also holds Song Zhaobi and Song Juren. Lin Haishan and his wife Zheng are interred here too. Lastly, Lin Yonglun and his wife He are buried here.
