It has been serving its community for over 100 years. It’s led by Reverend Owen Gowans, a man of vision and deep connection to the city. Reverend Gowans was one of the first African American males to attend Girard College, a prestigious Philadelphia institution. His leadership underscores Mt Moriah’s commitment to education and empowerment. The church’s trustee board is also dedicated to service and stewardship.
