The school has seen many leaders. Tuan Haji Mad Zahid served from 1994 to 2000. Encik Sharif bin Samsudin then took over. He emphasized religion and built a surau named after himself. Puan Apipah binti Ahmad, Encik Arbain bin Pinni, and Puan Wan Noraini binti Wan Abdollah also led. Encik Jamaluddin bin Abdul Kadir and Puan Siti A’ida binti Joned followed. Currently, Puan Tee Sew Hua leads SMK Sungai Kertas since March 22, 2021.
