Have you noticed how the Templo del Santísimo Sacramento seems to watch over the city? This impressive church is not in Córdoba city, but in La Falda. Its Italian Romantic style makes it unmissable.

The Templo del Santísimo Sacramento stands tall. It is the first and last thing visitors see when approaching or leaving La Falda. Imagine travelers being greeted by its imposing presence. It is a true architectural jewel inaugurated on December 9, 1948.

Let’s step inside. Notice the altar. It adapts to the circular shape of the presbytery. Above it, a gilded bronze monstrance stands 1.80 meters tall. The communion rail, pulpit, and baptismal font are crafted from marble and bronze. They are all detailed pieces.

Two beautiful stained-glass windows flank the altar. A rose window of stained glass adorns the facade. It illuminates the space with colored light. The Templo del Santísimo Sacramento also features a copy of Murillo’s Virgin. Nelly Copello de Laplacette donated it in memory of her husband.

Its location is unique. The Templo del Santísimo Sacramento can be seen from every point in the city. On November 22, 2024, it was declared a Eucharistic Sanctuary. This designation aims to welcome pilgrims. They come seeking special graces from God.

Fancy a panoramic view? You can ascend the bell tower. Experience the city from a different perspective. The tower is open from 9 AM to 9 PM. There is an entry fee of $2000 Argentine pesos. Children under 10 enter for free.

Nelly Copello de Laplacette, sister of Ing. Copello, La Falda’s first mayor, donated the Templo del Santísimo Sacramento. She was the wife of the landowner Laplacette. The cornerstone was laid on April 22, 1945. From here, the region’s grandeur is visible.

The Templo del Santísimo Sacramento is more than a church. It’s a landmark. It’s a testament to faith and art. A place for prayer, reflection, and community. Its history and beauty enrich La Falda. Its spiritual significance draws visitors from afar. Take a moment to appreciate this sanctuary. It is a beacon of hope. It is a symbol of devotion. It is a treasure for all who encounter it.
