吹田市立第三中学校

Established in 1947 Suita City’s third junior high school stands before us. This is Suita Municipal Third Junior High School. A testament to post-war educational reform it was one of the first junior high schools in Suita. Originally housed within Suita Municipal Suita Third Elementary School the school moved to its current location in 1952. This move coincided with the independent opening of Ajifu-mura Municipal Junior High School. That school is now the first junior high school in Ibaraki City. The Suita Municipal Third Junior High School initially relied on Ajifu-mura for teaching support. This arrangement ended when Ajifu-mura gained its independence. The growth of the student population eventually led to the establishment of Suita Municipal Fifth Junior High School in 1962. This new school alleviated the overcrowding at our location. Our Suita Municipal Third Junior High School has seen many changes. A fire in 1968 destroyed the gymnasium. It was rebuilt in 1977. A school crest was formally adopted in 1982. The school stands as a symbol of resilience and continuous progress in Suita. Its history is a reflection of the city’s evolution. The school continues to educate generations of students within its well-established grounds. It provides a vital service to the community it serves. This enduring institution reflects the unwavering commitment to education. It has adapted to evolving needs for decades. Suita Municipal Third Junior High School is more than a school.
