Before 2009, Guangzhou, a city steeped in history, lacked a single suspension bridge. The Ligang Bridge, originally known as Liede Bridge, changed that. This 4.3-kilometer-long structure isn’t just a way to get across the river. It’s a testament to engineering ingenuity, a self-anchored suspension bridge with a single tower supporting two main spans, one stretching an impressive 219 meters and the other 167 meters.
