The farm boasts two small reservoirs. Originally built in the early 1900s to supply water to Colby and Port Erin they’re now managed by the farm. They’re part of the farm’s commitment to enhancing the local environment.
John’s passion for birds of prey is infectious. The farm has aviaries housing rescued hawks falcons and owls. They even rehabilitate injured birds for release. Keep your eyes peeled. You might spot a buzzard a hen harrier a peregrine or even a kestrel. Lucky visitors have even encountered a migrating merlin.
Beyond the birds Bee and Blossom Farm is a sanctuary for a variety of creatures. From rare butterflies to sunbathing lizards there’s always something fascinating to discover. The farm’s secluded location offers uninterrupted views of the Milky Way. The only sounds are the call of an owl or the flitting wings of a bat.
The farm offers luxurious cottages furnished with items from Laura Ashley Emma Bridgewater and Laxey Woolen Mills. Relax with a coffee from your Nespresso machine or unwind in the hot tub. A games room provides entertainment for all.
