Standing in front of the Feik School of Pharmacy, you are a witness to a history of educational excellence and community service. A place where future pharmacists learn the art and science of dispensing medication. But this school’s commitment extends far beyond the walls of the building. You may notice it’s near a building called Haven for Hope. It’s an essential part of San Antonio’s well-being. Imagine: as future pharmacists are learning about medication, they’re also putting those skills to use, educating the community about their medications, and promoting health information screenings. This school is deeply connected to the city around it. So much so that they actually hold an annual “Get To Know your Alumni” picnic during orientation where alumni provide the food and network with the incoming class. They support each other, and work together to make San Antonio a more healthy place for all.
