Established on June 5 1995 Seoul Wonmuk Elementary School stands proudly in Muk-dong Jungnang District. This isn’t just any school. It’s a place where history unfolds. Seoul Wonmuk Elementary School opened its doors on November 10 1995. Gim-gwang-jeong became its first principal. Fourteen classes were initially organized. The first graduation ceremony was a joyous occasion on February 16 1996. Seven students graduated that year. By 1998 the school had grown significantly with a total of 39 classes. The school motto “Be wise Be truthful Be healthy” guides students. Its symbols are the pine tree and the azalea. Seoul Wonmuk Elementary School offers many extracurricular activities. Students can explore their talents through violin origami broadcasting scientific experiments and baduk. This bustling center of learning continues to shape young lives. The school has seen several principals over the years. Jeong-jae-seong Gang-sun-yeol Gang-dae-hui and Gim-myeong-uk each led the school. The sixth principal Gim-hyeon-muk continued the legacy. The school’s impressive growth reflects the community’s dedication to education. In 2017 a significant milestone was reached with the 22nd graduation ceremony.
