In August 2005, Brisbane’s Vietnamese community gathered here. They prayed. It was part of a celebration. They marked 30 years in Queensland. The Phat Da Temple has long been a focal point for this community.
Venerable Thich Thien Huu is the present Abbot of Phat Da Temple. He guides the Buddhist practitioners. In 2002, Phat Da Monastery sponsored him. He studied in India for almost five and a half years. His dedication shapes this temple.
