In June 2010 Battlefield East and Mount Florida Parish Churches merged. Clincarthill Parish Church was born. Located in the south of Glasgow it embraces Mount Florida Battlefield parts of Kings Park Langside and northern Cathcart. Even Hampden Park Stadium falls within its parish boundaries.

But the story of Clincarthill Parish Church goes back further. Long before 2010 the site held a church designed by John Honeyman in 1865. This Early English style building eventually became the hall. In 1912 an adjacent red sandstone church opened. This was designed by John Galt and served as Battlefield East Parish Church. The current Clincarthill building boasts a spacious yet intimate interior. Cast-iron columns support galleries. Fine woodwork especially the gallery fronts and wagon roof are striking features. Light plaster walls enhance the beauty of stained glass windows. These windows are works of art created by Abbey Studios in 1937 Sadie McLellan in 1972 and Susan Laidler in 1980. A 1912 pipe organ by Ingram of Edinburgh adds to the building’s musical heritage. An attractive garden completes the peaceful setting.
