In 1971, a seed was planted in Stuttgart. This seed, the Datenzentrale Baden-Württemberg (DZBW), was meant to grow into a powerful tool. It would cultivate standardized software solutions for municipalities across Baden-Württemberg. Here at Komm.ONE, we see the fruit of that seed. Komm.ONE is not just a building. It represents a digital evolution. It rose from the fusion of DZBW and three regional data processing centers. On July 1st, 2018, KIVBF, KIRU, KDRS, and DZBW combined their strengths. They created a single entity, initially called ITEOS. This new organization took on the mantle of supporting municipalities in their digital endeavors. Komm.ONE, formerly ITEOS, carries on DZBW’s original mission. It develops and maintains software for local governments. This software spans numerous areas. It covers finance, human resources, e-government, resident services, and more. Komm.ONE’s influence extends beyond Baden-Württemberg. The DZBW, before the merger, served clients nationwide. It became a major player in municipal software. It was even a significant SAP partner in the public sector. Komm.ONE stands as a testament to collaboration and innovation in public service technology. It is a vital partner for local governments. It aids them in navigating the complexities of the digital age. A name change occurred in 2020. ITEOS became Komm.ONE following a trademark dispute. This new name signifies unity and focus. It emphasizes the communal aspect of its mission. The legacy of the DZBW lives on within the walls of Komm.ONE. It continues to shape the digital landscape of Baden-Württemberg’s municipalities.
