The exhibition “Russian Folk Costume” was first shown in Paris. It was on display in the exhibition halls of the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation. It ran from March to August 2009. The collection was produced with specialists from our museum and Mr Bergé.

This is typical for people in northern and central Russia. Also, discover Russian styles in the Urals and Siberia.
The complex with a \”polosataya ubka\” is also featured. It was influenced by Polish and Belarusian traditions. It was widespread in southern Russian provinces. The theme of age differences in clothing comes alive. It is shown through children’s girls’ women’s men’s and old people’s costumes. As ceremonial clothes see a bride’s costume. There is also a wedding dress.
