Paramount High School Senior Campus serves students in grades 10 through 12. It stands as a pillar of education in Paramount California. The school is located at 14429 Downey Ave.

Established in 1953, Paramount High School is part of the Paramount Unified School District. The district includes all of Paramount and sections of other cities. These cities include Bellflower Compton Lakewood Long Beach and South Gate.

Paramount High School is the largest school in the area. It has one of the highest student populations in California. In 2022-2023 the school had 3737 students. The student to teacher ratio is about 20 to 1.

The school offers a comprehensive curriculum. Advanced Placement classes are available for students seeking a challenge.

In 2008 Paramount High School underwent significant changes. A $72 million program modernized the campus. The project included a new athletic stadium and a field house. A mini gym and an academic building were added. A new library and media center were also built. Solar power was incorporated into all new buildings. The site was completed in 2010.

The Paramount Pirates compete in the San Gabriel Valley League. They play against other local schools. These schools include Lynwood Downey Warren Dominguez and Gahr. The boys’ soccer team was a force to be reckoned with. They were Division III and State Regional Division I CIF champions in 2010. The team won CIF for three years straight from 2010 to 2012. This earned them the nickname the 3-peat champs. In 2012 they also won State Regional Champions. The Pirates also won CIF state for boys soccer in 2017.

The Paramount wrestling team was Division VI CIF runner-up in 2011. In 2012 the boys’ varsity tennis team achieved a first. They won the league four years in a row.

Paramount High School has produced several notable alumni. Dante Basco is an actor and singer. Timothy DeLaGhetto is an actor comedian rapper and YouTube personality. Charles Huerta is a professional boxer. Brian Hunter played in MLB. Antonio Pierce is a former NFL player. He is now the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. YG is a famous rapper.
