Established in 1950 Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan began as a humble school. It served the Orang Asli Temuan community. Initially located at Batu 11 Jalan Damansara it was a simple wooden structure. Built through the collective effort of villagers and the Petaling District Office. The school’s early years were marked by a strong sense of community. This spirit of cooperation helped overcome many challenges. Only 40 students attended.

Over the years Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan grew. In 1954 it moved to Batu 10 Jalan Damansara. Another community effort built the new school. Then in 1962 the school found a new home in Kg Orang Asli Bukit Lanjan. The JHEOA constructed a three-classroom building. This new building was a significant improvement. It marked a turning point for the school.

Expansion continued. By 1984 a two-classroom block was added. This addressed overcrowding and the need for more space. In 1995 a new two-story building Blok B was completed. This was a significant upgrade. It offered better facilities for students and teachers. However due to the Bukit Lanjan Development Privatization Project the school moved again.

The move in September 1999 marked another important chapter. The school gained modern facilities in its new location. The old site became housing for young Orang Asli. In 2004 a KAFA Integrasi Bukit Lanjan class began. This was the first of its kind in Selangor. The school continued to evolve. A preschool and a special building opened in 2007.

In 2010 the school received approval to open two special education classes. These classes were for students with learning difficulties. Again it was a first for Orang Asli schools in Selangor. The school also received awards. These included the Saujana Leap Award for Average Subject Grades. This was in 2009 and 2010. The school also won the New Deal Headmaster Award. This was from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in 2010. Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan stands as a testament to resilience and progress. It continues to provide quality education for the Orang Asli community. Its story is a reminder of community effort and commitment to education.
