Rowe and a handful of believers, held their first service, and word quickly spread throughout New Orleans. The Upper Room Apostolic Church became known as a place where faith blossomed. People were drawn to Dr. Rowe’s teachings, and the church grew rapidly. But for Dr. Rowe, impacting lives wasn’t enough. He had a vision to build a true sanctuary, a vision shared and nurtured by his wife. Dr. Carol G. Rowe was the one who discovered the perfect location, a testament to the power of faith and partnership. The road wasn’t easy. It took months of construction and a leap of faith financially, but the Upper Room Apostolic Church eventually found its home, a sprawling 30,000 square-foot facility. It housed not just a sanctuary, but a Life Center, a Pre-school, and even an academy.
