During a severe drought in Tanjore Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s presence brought relief. He performed Yagnas leading to bountiful rains. A grateful king gifted him a valuable necklace. Sri Raghavendra Swamy however returned it to the flames. Miraculously it reappeared even more radiant than before. This emphasized his detachment from material possessions.

His final years were spent in Mantralayam. He entered a Brindavana alive a practice only few saints have performed. He left behind a lasting impact.
